A second Comma on the same day - this one with all wings intact.

A Peacock Butterfly takes a rest! |
April 13th
After a lot of watching we finally confirmed via this photo this is
a Green Veined White Butterfly.
Just after the GVW landed and stayed for a photo shoot!
GVW again - same one.
And again!
A Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly laneded on the blossom and
gave a show.
Give us a twirl!
The Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly landed further on the blossom
and displayed better!.
An enlargement of the left hand view to show more detail.

| April 15th & 16th |
The GVW has become a regular duirng the recent warm and sunny
days and often lands on the Forget-Me-Nots in our garden.
Another view of it on the F-M-N's.
Good to see our Daffodils also attract the Green Veined White
Getting closer to that nectar!
April 18th & 19th
The damaged Comma returns to its favourite sunny spot which helps
when trying to photograph it! This was taken on the 18th.
It returned again on the next day.
Although Lorraine spotted the Speckled Wood Butterfly back in
March this was the first good chance to photograph one when it landed for
a while to sun itself.
Slightly different view as I tried to move round it to get a
better shot - it flew off though before I got the 'plan' view!
