These are the Skipper family of Butterflies that Lorraine and I have recorded so far in either our Garden or the bank at the back of the garden since late July 2000. Click on the thumbnail images below to view a larger image of each butterfly.
 

Large Skipper Butterfly Ochlodes  venatus Male Female

Small Skipper Butterfly Thymelicus sylvestris (Male and Female)

Essex Skipper Butterfly Thymelicus lineola

Lorraine and I hope you enjoy looking at these pictures - even though they are probably not the best ever taken of Butterflies!
