William OWEN was born 1798/1800 in Dublin, Ireland.  His occupation was that of a Plasterer.  He married Caroline (unknown), we are unsure in which area, but the censuses show them as husband and wife.  Caroline was 43 in 1851 (born approx 1808 in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire), she had passed away by 1881.

1.  George OWEN born 1832, (birth place unknown), Plasterer in 1851, aged 19.
2.  Elizabeth OWEN born Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, 1838, married John BUTLIN (see BUTLIN)
3.  Mark OWEN born 1840 in Stonehouse, Age 11 in 1851, a Plasterer.  Later becoming a Tiler and Plasterer  (see below)
4.  Martha OWEN born 1843 aged 8 in 1851

Mark OWEN (son of William and Caroline) born 1840 in Stonehouse, a Tiler and Plasterer, married Anne E (unknown) born 1838 at Frocester, which is SE of Stonehouse.  We are unsure, but we believe they married at Eastington.  She was 43 in 1881 he was 41.

1.  Alice M OWEN born 1865 at Stonehouse, aged 16 in 1881 she was a Woollen Cloth Worker.
2.  Robert H M OWEN born 1868 at Moreton Valence, Gloucestershire.  (Moreton Valence is in the south of Gloucestershire, its on the A38 approx 6m, NW of Stonehouse.)  Robert is aged 13 in 1881.
3.  Arthur H J OWEN born 1872 at Stonehouse, aged 9 in 1881.
4.  Emily C OWEN born 1876 at Stonehouse, aged 5 in 1881.
5.  Anne E OWEN born 1878 at Eastington, Gloucestershire; aged 3 in 1881. Note: There are 2 Eastington’s one which is SW of Stonehouse, the other east of Northleach.  We are unsure which she was born at.
