BUTLIN

This is my maternal (father’s) lineage. We had the basis of the tree back in 1988, which showed that they came from Birmingham (West Midlands) - (Aston, Minworth, Cudworth area). It wasn’t until 1999 that I was able to take it further back, showing that the BUTLIN family had come from Coln Rogers, a small village in Gloucestershire, just off the Fosse Way.

One interesting factor on looking at the other BUTLINs of Coln Rogers, is that I have come across another BUTLIN/GARLAND marriage, like my great-great-great grandparents; from the same areas of Gloucestershire and Birmingham, so its so close for there not to be a connection.
