This is my grandmothers lineage (on my mothers side). The basis of this line showed that they came from Bridgwater (Somerset). From further work from 1999 onwards, I have been able to show that some of the TALBOTs came from Bristol (classed in 1881 as Gloucestershire) and a village from near the Severn Bridge called Newpassage. So this branch like the BUTLINs have Gloucestershire connections. The TALBOTs, at the time of my grandfather moved to Birmingham (Aston). Their occupation was that of Agricultural Labourers.
My grandmother had always said that as far as she was concerned, she originated from the TALBOTs of Shrewsbury. This is however, yet to be proven.
